What is application software?

Application software is software designed for specific utilities. Application programs are created for general purposes such as yield accounting, general bill book and ledger etc. These packages are made for banks, hospitals, insurance companies, publications, etc. Application software either needs to be installed or can be run online.

Application software is called programs that are written to perform core tasks based on our computer. There are different software for different uses as per the requirement, the software is prepared by the software programmers in large companies keeping in mind the need of the user, some of it is available for free and some have to be charged. For example, if you want to do work related to photos, then if you want to see photoshop or any video for it, then use media player for it.

Application software can also be divided into two parts:

Specialized Application Software:
These are programs that are specifically tailored to the needs of the consumer. The biggest advantage of these software is that they fulfill all the requirements of the consumer. The main disadvantage of this type of software is that it is expensive compared to general purpose software.

General Purpose Application Software:
These are programs that are designed to perform the common essential functions of people. Each program is written in such a way that it is applicable to a large number of consumers. The biggest advantage of this software is that it is cheaper. But its major disadvantage is that it does not meet all the needs of consumers.

Ss excel
